Job description
Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Interface Manager to lead interface management activities across large-scale real estate and infrastructure projects in the Middle East. This role focuses on ensuring efficient coordination between multiple stakeholders, integrating construction and logistics processes, and overseeing project interfaces from pre-construction through delivery phases. The Senior Interface Manager will develop and implement interface strategies, monitor adherence to client Interface Agreements, and ensure seamless collaboration among project teams, contractors, and external stakeholders. The position involves technical oversight, risk management, quality control, and security supervision on-site. The successful candidate will combine strong leadership, strategic thinking, and practical expertise to deliver projects efficiently, maintain high standards, and foster a collaborative environment. Key responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the project-wide interface strategy covering the full project lifecycle, including planning, documentation, and coordination between contracts, systems, and stakeholders
- Review, adapt, and implement the client Interface Agreement to ensure project delivery requirements are met, recommending improvements where necessary
- Collaborate with client departments and external stakeholders to resolve integration challenges and maintain alignment with interface strategy
- Coordinate and manage cross-functional project teams to ensure clear ownership of work packages, deliverables, and responsibilities
- Oversee construction integration processes including specification alignment, supervision, testing, and final acceptance of works
- Lead and provide technical guidance to the interface team to ensure smooth project execution and adherence to quality standards
- Monitor and manage physical site security operations, including security personnel, CCTV systems, and operational protocols
- Facilitate communication across project stakeholders, ensuring all parties are informed of project progress, risks, and issues
- Identify, assess, and mitigate unforeseen risks and challenges that may impact project delivery
- Support the development of project management processes, procedures, and governance frameworks to optimize efficiency
- Ensure integration with other technical disciplines (mechanical, electrical, architectural, structural) for functional interfaces
- Report on project performance, interface efficiency, and progress against timelines to senior management and stakeholders
- Champion a collaborative and solution-oriented culture within the project team, fostering proactive problem-solving
Experience & skills
- 5–10 years post-graduate experience in construction, engineering, or project management with interface coordination responsibilities
- Minimum Level 8 degree in relevant field; Masters Level 9 preferred
- Professional certifications such as Six Sigma or equivalent highly advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple technical teams and complex project requirements
- Proven experience in developing and implementing interface strategies for large-scale projects
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, logistics, and security operations
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to foster collaboration and drive high-quality outcomes across diverse teams
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to resolve unforeseen risks and operational challenges
- Experience in technical supervision, standards compliance, and quality assurance
- Ability to work remotely while coordinating with on-site teams and stakeholders effectively
- Professional memberships and certifications relevant to engineering, construction, or project management are advantageous
