Job description
The AI Project Manager role based in Riyadh, Riyadh Province, Saudi Arabia is an onsite, full-time position responsible for planning, leading, and controlling AI projects across the full Project Management Lifecycle while ensuring alignment with organizational PMO governance, contractual commitments, and CPMAI⢠analytics lifecycle phases to achieve measurable business outcomes. The role covers Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closure & Value Realization phases. During Initiation & Alignment, the AI Project Manager develops and maintains the Project Charter aligned with business objectives, success criteria, and value realization goals, and identifies and engages key stakeholders while defining stakeholder expectations and communication needs. In Planning, the role establishes and baselines the Integrated Project Management Plan, covering scope, schedule, cost, quality, resource, risk, communication, and procurement components; defines Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), milestones, delivery dependencies, and acceptance criteria; plans resource allocation in coordination with technical leads and functional managers; and ensures alignment between delivery plans, payment milestones, and contractual terms. During Execution, the AI Project Manager directs and manages project work in accordance with the approved project plan and governance framework, coordinates cross-functional teams including AI, data, platform, and infrastructure to support CPMAI⢠phases such as business understanding, data understanding, modeling, deployment, and monitoring, and serves as the primary integration point between PMO, technical teams, vendors, and clients. In Monitoring & Controlling, the role monitors project performance against baselined scope, schedule, and cost using defined KPIs; proactively manages risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies (RAID); controls scope through formal Change Control processes while assessing impact on time, cost, and value; and produces accurate and timely status reports and forecasts. In Closure & Value Realization, the AI Project Manager ensures formal project closure including deliverable acceptance, documentation handover, lessons learned, value realization tracking, post-delivery performance monitoring where applicable, and completion and archiving of contractual and governance artifacts such as CoCs, invoices, and approvals. The role requires 8+ years of experience in technology project management, including delivery of complex, data-driven or AI-enabled solutions, PMP®, PRINCE2®, or equivalent PMI-aligned certification, with PMI-CPMAI⢠certification as a strong advantage, and proven experience in high-visibility, regulated, or enterprise environments.
