Job description
Field Specialist - Coiled Tubing within Baker Hughes Pressure Pumping Team responsible for operating advanced oilfield equipment and supporting oil and gas extraction operations using cutting-edge physical and digital technologies. The role involves carrying out operations on machined parts to high-quality standards, working independently to meet production schedules, and supporting innovative product deployment. Responsibilities include operating and monitoring coiled tubing units, injector heads, reels, and control systems, monitoring real-time operational parameters including depth, weight, pump rates, and pressure, performing pre-job inspections, conducting function tests and pressure testing of equipment, performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting, assisting in rig-up and rig-down at wellsite operations, ensuring strict compliance with HSE policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments and hazard identification, maintaining safe working environments, recording operational job data, and providing reports to clients. The role requires extensive field experience in coiled tubing operations, nitrogen pumping, and oilfield services, and involves shift-based rotational work (6 weeks on, 4 weeks off). The position supports surface pressure capabilities, oilfield equipment manufacturing quality standards, and operational excellence across oil and gas field environments.

Key responsibilities
- Operate and monitor coiled tubing units, injector heads, reels and control systems while maintaining operational efficiency and quality standards
- Monitor real-time operational parameters including depth, weight, pump rates and pressure during coiled tubing operations
- Perform pre-job inspections, function tests, pressure testing, basic maintenance and troubleshooting of coiled tubing equipment
- Assist in rig-up and rig-down operations at the wellsite ensuring safe and efficient deployment of equipment
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies and procedures and maintain safe working environment for crew and equipment
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification during field operations
- Record operational job data, prepare reports and ensure operational data accuracy and compliance
Experience & skills
- Hold minimum high school diploma with Bachelor in Engineering preferred
- Possess minimum 7 years experience in coiled tubing operations in oilfield services environment
- Demonstrate minimum 7 years experience in nitrogen pumping operations
- Possess minimum 7 years experience in oilfield services field operations
- Demonstrate ability to perform field operations, equipment monitoring, troubleshooting and reporting
- Be able to work rotational shift schedule of 6 weeks on and 4 weeks off
