Job description
The Data Analyst with BA role focuses on combining business analysis and data analytics expertise to support banking-related projects. The candidate should have strong experience in retail banking, data platforms, and business data models, as well as proficiency with SQL, Hive, and Impala. Experience with CDP applications such as Cloud Data Engineering (CDE) and Cloud Data Warehouse (CDW) is required, while Python scripting and PySpark knowledge are considered advantages.

Key responsibilities
- Work on projects within the banking sector or data science at a junior level.
- Apply data analytics techniques to support business requirements.
- Utilize CDP applications including Cloud Data Engineering and Cloud Data Warehouse on Cloud Era/Azure Data Lake.
- Develop and maintain business data models.
- Write SQL queries to extract and manipulate data.
- Support retail banking data analytics use cases.
- Use Impala and Hive databases for data operations.
- Contribute to digital controllers experience.
- Leverage Python scripting and PySpark knowledge where applicable.
Experience & skills
- 4+ years of Business Analysis experience in Banking.
- Experience in data analytics projects within the banking sector.
- Proficiency with CDP applications such as CDE and CDW (Cloud Era / Azure Data Lake).
- Experience developing and working with business data models.
- Strong SQL query writing skills.
- Experience in retail banking environments.
- Hands-on experience with Impala and Hive databases.
- Experience with digital controllers.
- Good to have: Python scripting knowledge.
- Good to have: PySpark knowledge.
- Preferably an Engineering background or degree in Mathematics.
