Job description
BitOasis, a leading cryptocurrency trading platform in the MENA region, is hiring a Public Policy Manager to support the expansion of its regulatory-first business approach. The role involves monitoring global and regional policy trends, assessing regulatory opportunities and risks, preparing internal briefs, and crafting strategic engagement plans for regulators and public sector stakeholders. Based in Dubai, the role will require direct coordination with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Compliance, to shape virtual asset policies and foster BitOasisā strategic goals across the Middle East and North Africa. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of fintech or virtual assets policy and experience navigating complex regulatory environments.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze emerging virtual asset policy and regulatory trends across the MENA region and globally
- Identify risks and opportunities for the business and flag them to internal stakeholders
- Support the Director of Public Policy in shaping the regulatory landscape through stakeholder engagement
- Prepare data-driven, concise, and actionable briefs, presentations, and materials for executives and functional leaders
- Draft responses to consultations and requests for comments from public sector entities
- Develop and execute stakeholder engagement plans, including regulatory and strategic partnerships
- Conduct market and regulatory analysis and support the development of BitOasisā thought leadership
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and other teams
- Create visual, accessible communications to convey complex regulatory concepts effectively
- Manage multiple workstreams independently with ownership and accountability
Experience & skills
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in public policy, public affairs, or government relations
- Experience in virtual assets or fintech regulation preferred, particularly in the GCC or broader MENA region
- Proven track record in regulatory monitoring, stakeholder mapping, and market analysis
- Experience preparing executive-level briefs, responses to policy consultations, and strategic engagement documents
- Ability to translate regulatory complexity into clear and compelling internal or external communications
- Proficient in driving independent research and authoring thought leadership materials
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and project leadership experience
- Excellent prioritization skills and ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure
- Self-motivated with a structured, solution-oriented mindset and strong sense of ownership
- Nice to have: consulting or advisory experience in the MENA region, experience working with or within regulatory bodies, fintech startup exposure, regional stakeholder network, and fluency in Arabic
