Job description
The Working Capital Specialist at EY, based in Dubai, plays a vital role in supporting the firmās liquidity by improving cash collection performance and managing client accounts receivable. As part of the Working Capital Management team in MENA, the role includes proactive follow-up on outstanding receivables, resolving overdue accounts, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely payments. Responsibilities involve tracking payment workflows, generating statements and payment requests, managing invoice disputes, and contributing to process improvement initiatives. The role is designed for professionals with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with collections tools and ERP systems like SAP. Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of client accounts and follow up on outstanding receivables
- Collaborate with invoice approvers and accounts payable teams to facilitate timely payments
- Track payment arrangements and escalate delays or non-compliance
- Identify root causes of payment delays and recommend process improvements
- Log and support resolution of invoice disputes and provide long-term feedback
- Maintain documentation of client billing and payment workflows for transparency
- Track invoice delivery and generate client statements and payment requests
- Assist with allocation and reconciliation of payments with Finance and engagement teams
- Support continuous improvement efforts in collection processes and working capital outcomes
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Show proactive problem-solving abilities focused on root cause resolution
- Have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Be detail-oriented and comfortable working with financial data
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus
- Have familiarity with collections processes, tools, and best practices
- Be fluent in English; Arabic is a plus
- Experience in finance or client-facing roles within professional services or multinational environments preferred
- Understanding of invoicing and payment practices of GCC government entities is advantageous
- Exposure to financial operations transformation or system rollouts is beneficial
