Job description
The Senior Officer β PICG Governance role sits within the People & Intellectual Capital Group (PICG) and is responsible for maintaining and strengthening governance frameworks across the organisation. The role ensures that PICG policies, practices, and processes align with applicable labour laws, regulatory requirements, internal governance standards, and audit expectations. The position supports organisational compliance, risk mitigation, and the consistent application of ethical people practices. Responsibilities span governance framework implementation, policy review and updates, audit coordination, regulatory compliance monitoring, statutory documentation oversight, risk and ethics management, and secure handling of PICG data and records. The role also supports leadership reporting through governance dashboards and ensures confidentiality, data privacy, and record retention compliance in line with legal and organisational standards.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Implement, maintain, and support PICG governance frameworks, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate regular review and updating of PICG policies to ensure compliance with labour laws, data protection regulations, and corporate governance standards.
- Coordinate periodic PICG audits and risk assessments to evaluate adherence to governance policies and internal controls.
- Monitor and interpret employment legislation, statutory requirements, and regulatory developments relevant to PICG.
- Ensure timely compliance with statutory filings and labour-related documentation including PF, ESI, gratuity, POSH, and equal employment opportunity reporting.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, legal advisors, and government agencies as required.
- Coordinate internal audits and ensure timely closure of PICG-related audit and compliance findings.
- Identify PICG compliance risks and support development of mitigation plans.
- Support adherence to ethics, anti-harassment, and data privacy policies across the organisation.
- Maintain accurate PICG records while ensuring confidentiality, data privacy, and compliance with legal standards.
- Oversee document retention and recordkeeping compliance.
- Maintain governance dashboards and prepare governance reporting for senior leadership.
Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelorβs degree.
- Possess 1 to 2 years of experience in governance, risk, compliance, or audit roles.
- Demonstrate knowledge of governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Show proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Demonstrate experience using HR systems.
