The Data Governance Senior Lead Specialist is responsible for defining, understanding, and implementing enterprise-wide data governance strategies in support of organizational business and data initiatives in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves analyzing management inputs related to existing data issues and governance practices to identify gaps, pain points, and improvement opportunities. The position leads the assessment, design, and implementation of policies and processes governing data quality, access management, lineage, security, change management, environment, and monetization. The role establishes and maintains clearly defined strategic and operational data roles and responsibilities to support decision-making and issue resolution. It oversees the design of governance templates, service level agreements, benchmarks, and policies related to data communications, exchanges, retention, escalation timelines, and quality standards. The specialist leads the establishment of a robust data architecture capable of meeting evolving regulatory requirements while supporting future growth initiatives. The role ensures adherence to governance calendars, effective governance meetings, issue tracking, escalation resolution related to data access, catalogs, quality, and traceability, and measures ROI for data initiatives and projects. The position also identifies global best practices and governance trends and shares insights with the Data Management Committee while ensuring compliance with organizational policies, reporting standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
