Job description
The Manager Regulatory Affairs will act as the primary interface with the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), managing compliance, regulatory obligations, and strategic engagement on behalf of du. This role ensures adherence to TDRA’s requirements across areas such as number portability, internet access policy, crisis management, billing and CPR audits, and other obligations. The position involves collaborating with internal teams (Technology, Finance, and Commercial), representing the company in industry meetings, monitoring international best practices, and influencing regulatory outcomes to the benefit of the organization.

Key responsibilities
- Support and manage interface with relevant stakeholders to align business input with regulatory requirements under the telecom regulatory framework.
- Act as primary interface with TDRA’s Technical Affairs personnel and internal Technology and Commercial teams for compliance requirements.
- Manage compliance with internet access policy, mobile and fixed number portability, numbering management, national crisis management projects, billing, and CPR audits.
- Respond to TDRA’s requests for actions and adhoc reports within required timelines.
- Monitor international regulatory developments and best practices, supporting submissions and policy positions with benchmarked data.
- Assist in developing comprehensive planning and processes to ensure responses to regulatory obligations are met.
- Support development and implementation of performance measures for regulatory compliance obligations.
- Liaise with Technology, Finance, Commercial, and other divisions as required.
- Prepare and support submissions, correspondence, and documentation related to regulatory policies and obligations.
- Represent Regulatory Affairs in meetings with TDRA, Etisalat, other licensed operators, and industry fora to influence regulatory outcomes.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 7–12 years of relevant industry experience.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications and technologies.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Result and outcome-oriented with strong attention to detail and quality within required timelines.
- Flexibility and ability to travel at short notice to meetings, including in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
