Job description
The Audit Manager in EY’s Abu Dhabi office leads complex audit engagements and contributes to the growth of the Audit business. The role requires managing teams, executing audit procedures, ensuring compliance with EY policies, and delivering high-quality audit services. This position also involves coaching junior staff, participating in business development, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with EY policies and IFRS standards.
- Define audit strategy in consultation with Senior Managers and Partners, executing complex audit procedures as needed.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor junior staff to support their professional development.
- Monitor engagement financials including staffing, fees, and resource allocation.
- Identify, assess, and escalate audit risks appropriately during engagements.
- Participate in business development initiatives to expand client relationships and grow the audit practice.
- Maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships with clients and team members.
- Ensure use of audit tools, data analytics, and current auditing techniques for efficient and effective audit delivery.
- Contribute to recruitment, retention, and ongoing training of Assurance professionals.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing within the audit team.
Experience & skills
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in external audit, ideally within a Big 4 accounting firm in the GCC region.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA or CPA).
- Proficiency in Arabic and English.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and current auditing techniques.
- Experience with audit software, data analytics tools, and risk-based audit methodologies.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, resources, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen and client relationship management capabilities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
