Job description
The Legal Manager will provide legal advisory support to senior management and business units, ensuring compliance with corporate, commercial, and regulatory requirements across all group entities. The role involves developing legal strategies, managing litigation, overseeing contract management, and engaging with external counsel, government authorities, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in corporate legal environments, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage legal affairs independently.

Key responsibilities
- Provide legal advice to senior management and business units on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
- Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with business goals.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements across all group entities.
- Support board and shareholder meetings, including drafting resolutions and maintaining corporate records.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts including vendor agreements, NDAs, MoUs, and service contracts.
- Establish and maintain a contract management system.
- Identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the group and ensure timely compliance.
- Manage and coordinate litigation and dispute resolution matters with external counsel.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings when required.
- Liaise with external legal advisors, regulatory bodies, and government authorities.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure legal support for business initiatives.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Law (LLB); Masterās degree or specialization in Corporate Law is a plus.
- Minimum 8ā10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in a corporate legal department.
- Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law.
- Experience in managing legal affairs for a group of companies or multinational organization is preferred.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
