Job description
The Advanced Service Engineer (ASE) organization in CSS is a global team of highly skilled technical engineers helping Oracle customers maximize their cloud and on-premise investment. As a Lead Cloud Architect with AI experience, you will design, build, and manage best-in-class cloud and AI solutions for Oracle’s key CSS customers. You will assess customer needs, design technical architectures aligned with Oracle best practices, provide technical governance to delivery teams, and support innovation across cloud and AI initiatives. The role also includes solution delivery leadership, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality, and scalable systems, while maintaining ongoing alignment with customer needs.

Key responsibilities
- Establish trusted relationships with customers
- Assess and analyze customer needs to capture business and industry requirements and translate them into technical architectures
- Provide technical governance and guidance to CSS delivery teams
- Support CSS Services Solutioning team with scope, LOE definition, and technical input
- Drive innovation by developing and adapting new practices and AI/cloud solutions
- Apply Oracle best practices and business acumen to solution design
- Serve as Oracle Solution Delivery authority for cost-effective, quality, and manageable outcomes
- Ensure successful handover from implementation to operations
- Maintain Oracle solutions to meet evolving customer needs
- Drive personal development in Oracle cloud and AI technologies
- Work closely with CSS teams to ensure success in implementing mission-critical environments
Experience & skills
- Minimum five years of experience as a senior architect delivering cloud and AI solutions
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical staff
- Experience leading technical efforts from sales through delivery for large cloud and AI projects
- Proven ability to analyze and document complex technical issues and provide solutions
- Overall knowledge of Oracle cloud solutions (OCI, IaaS, PaaS, Networks)
- Strong knowledge of AI technologies including application features, machine learning, deep learning, and common AI use cases
- Experience with AI services like digital assistant, NLP, speech recognition, and anomaly detection
- Experience with Generative AI including Cohere
- Experience in AI infrastructure including GPU, RDMA, and Nvidia software
- Good knowledge of Applications/SaaS, Databases, and Middleware/PaaS
- Experience with open-source cloud technologies
- Strong understanding of cloud security
- Knowledge of cloud native design solutions
- Experience with automation technologies such as DevOps and GitOps
