Job description
The HSE Manager (Onshore Gas Project, Oil & Gas EPCM) provides leadership and direction for the HSE department to hire and train qualified expertise, engage personnel on projects, improve department work processes and procedures, and ensure compliance with the applicable HSE management system, customer safety policies, and government regulations by supervising the development of procedures and safety plans and ensuring proper execution. The role develops, implements, and oversees HSSE management systems in alignment with company and regulatory requirements; ensures compliance with local and international HSSE regulations, industry best practices, and client expectations; and provides strategic leadership in risk management, hazard identification, and mitigation strategies. It leads HSSE training, awareness programs, and competency development for project personnel; conducts regular HSSE audits, inspections, and incident investigations with timely corrective actions; and fosters a strong HSSE culture through engagement, coaching, and proactive communication with project teams. The position liaises with regulatory authorities, stakeholders, and subcontractors to ensure seamless HSSE compliance, leveraging strong knowledge of HSE legislation, industry standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001), and best practices, with extensive experience in HSSE management for large-scale onshore gas or oil & gas EPCM projects. Qualifications include being degree qualified in a relevant discipline and ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor Qualified, with experience in emergency response planning, environmental impact assessment, and security risk management to deliver a safe, compliant, and sustainable onshore gas project.

Experience & skills
- Hold a degree in a relevant discipline and be ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor Qualified.
- Demonstrate extensive experience in HSSE management for large-scale onshore gas or oil & gas EPCM projects.
- Show strong knowledge of HSE legislation and industry standards, including OSHA, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001.
- Evidence experience with emergency response planning, environmental impact assessment, and security risk management.
- Prove the ability to develop and supervise HSE procedures and safety plans aligned with an HSE management system.
- Demonstrate capability to conduct HSSE audits, inspections, and incident investigations with timely corrective action management.
