Job description
Dubai Municipality projects set the standard for this Stantec role, and previous DM project experience is a firm requirement. The work centres on water and sewerage infrastructure, including water pipelines, sewers, rising mains and pumping stations, along with drainage and stormwater networks. Design, construction and supervision all fall within scope, from manholes and VC, WO and AV chambers to connection chambers. Road crossings are handled without disruption using HDD, micro-tunnelling and jack and bore methods. Authority approvals and coordination with Dubai Municipality and other utility authorities are a constant part of the job. Emergency works and rapid response projects come up too, calling for quick, sound decisions on site. Members of the public are sometimes affected, so dealing with them and other stakeholders professionally matters. Strong knowledge of Dubai's existing infrastructure networks, a civil engineering degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience are required.
