Job description
The Senior Proficient â Corporate Innovation & Development at Omantel is responsible for supporting the execution of corporate mergers and acquisitions (M&A), deleveraging projects, and other strategic initiatives aligned with the companyâs long-term growth objectives. Based within the Strategy & Innovation division at the Omantel Head Office, the role involves collaborating with the corporate leadership team to drive acquisitions, joint ventures, greenfield developments, and disposals. The position requires managing day-to-day M&A activities including due diligence, valuations, internal and external stakeholder coordination, and deal structuring. The incumbent will provide analytical and strategic recommendations to the General Manager, CFO, senior management, and the Board of Directors. The role also entails identifying and managing new business development opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances, from idea generation and feasibility studies to execution. Frequent collaboration with internal deal teams, external advisors (such as investment banks, accountants, and legal counsels), and cross-functional teams is essential. The position demands a strong foundation in finance, corporate development, and strategic project execution within a complex, high-growth telecommunications environment.

Key responsibilities
- Support the corporate leadership team in driving acquisitions, joint ventures, greenfield developments, and disposals
- Provide detailed recommendations and analyses to the General Manager, CFO, senior management, and Board of Directors
- Manage day-to-day M&A project activities including due diligence, valuations, and internal coordination
- Oversee and support negotiations, structuring, and documentation of critical deal processes
- Coordinate with internal deal teams and senior stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and project progress
- Engage and interface with external advisors including investment banks, accountants, and legal counsels
- Assist in the development and execution of group-level business development strategies and projects
- Identify new business, partnership, and investment opportunities including joint ventures and strategic alliances
- Manage the complete business development lifecycle including idea generation, feasibility studies, project structuring, contracts, and execution
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet strategic goals, timelines, and performance targets
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree in Finance or a relevant field
- 8â10 years of experience in corporate development, M&A, or strategic business projects
- Demonstrated experience managing M&A processes including due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and deal execution
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and business development within a large organization
- Proven ability to coordinate with senior management and cross-functional internal teams
- Experience interfacing with external advisors such as investment banks, accountants, and legal counsels
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and project management skills
- Proficiency in structuring and executing complex transactions including joint ventures and greenfield investments
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation abilities
- Ability to identify strategic opportunities and deliver results aligned with corporate objectives
