Job description
The Systems Engineer II ā Low Current (LC, AV) at Honeywell is responsible for the design, engineering, commissioning, and supervision of LC and Audio Visual systems across projects. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with specifications, value engineering, risk mitigation, team coordination, and maintaining customer satisfaction. Responsibilities also include working with cross-functional engineering teams, managing junior staff, leading system handovers, and providing training on-site. This position plays a critical part in delivering innovative technology solutions in building systems and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities
- Understand specification compliance and scope responsibilities for LC and A/V systems.
- Conduct budget analysis and cost optimization for LC and A/V projects.
- Provide engineering performance and progress reporting for installations.
- Lead commissioning engineering processes and standardization efforts.
- Collaborate with SME teams to develop suitable LC and A/V solutions.
- Identify and mitigate project risks related to LC and A/V systems.
- Design and engineer LC and A/V infrastructure.
- Conduct value engineering and estimate VO costs.
- Coordinate with remote engineering teams.
- Deliver LC and A/V projects within schedule and promote team collaboration.
- Develop schedules and milestones for LC and A/V initiatives.
- Manage junior and CX engineers for related tasks.
- Maintain customer relations and provide on-site supervision for LC and A/V systems.
- Participate in technical and coordination meetings on-site.
- Train customer technical staff on LC and A/V systems.
- Oversee system handover and customer acceptance processes on-site.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in LC engineering with a strong focus on A/V systems.
- Knowledge of reviewing shop drawings for LC and A/V systems.
- Experience with A/V control systems, video conferencing, sound reinforcement, and display technologies.
- Experience configuring A/V servers and commissioning A/V systems.
- Familiarity with third-party A/V protocols and integrations (Dante, Crestron, Extron).
- Understanding of PAVA, BMS, and ACS systems integration.
- Ability to supervise and train customer site staff.
- Participation in technical discussions and coordination meetings.
