Key responsibilities

• Provide positive leadership on HSSE issues within area of operation and for team members.
• Ensure own health, security, and safety at work, and that activities do not adversely affect others or the environment.
• Promote positive attitudes towards protecting people and the environment.
• Cooperate with the company in all HSSE matters and contribute to accident reduction and natural resource conservation.
• Work according to instructions, HSSE risk assessments, and method statements.
• Report conflicts, hazards, incidents, and unsafe methods of work.
• Ensure use of correct access, tools, equipment, and PPE for the work.
• Never operate hazardous equipment without proper training and authorization.
• Leave plant, equipment, and premises in a safe and secure state when unattended.
• Stop unsafe tasks and report to supervisor when necessary.
• Intervene in unsafe acts or conditions when safe to do so.
• Organize work in line with HSSE risk assessments, method statements, and procedures.
• Monitor compliance of personnel with HSSE responsibilities.
• Provide clear instructions and ensure all personnel are involved in HSSE risk assessments.
• Implement additional HSSE controls for vulnerable groups where necessary.
• Monitor and update risk assessments/method statements as required.
• Ensure two-way communication and deliver toolbox talks.
• Identify HSSE training requirements of personnel.
• Report accidents and incidents immediately.
• Ensure PPE is used and maintained properly.
• Ensure only authorized persons operate plant and equipment.
• Direct commissioning personnel in safe execution of workscope.
