The role involves leading a multidisciplinary supervision team including Resident Engineers (REs), Assistant Resident Engineers (AREs), and Site Inspectors across Civil, Structural, Architectural, MEP, and FF&E disciplines, ensuring all construction activities strictly comply with contract documents, engineering drawings, specifications, international and local building codes, and project timelines. The SRE manages complex construction processes including civil works, structural systems, architectural finishes, and advanced MEP systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, IT, security, kitchen, and laundry equipment, with a strong emphasis on high-quality finishes and aesthetic standards required in hospitality developments. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and samples, witnessing site tests such as concrete, steel, soil, and MEP systems commissioning, and enforcing Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plans to address non-conformances. The role also covers monitoring project schedules, verifying contractor progress reports and payment applications, managing contractor claims, variations, and change orders, and maintaining comprehensive documentation including as-built drawings and operation and maintenance manuals. The SRE ensures compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) regulations, conducts safety inspections, and reports incidents while coordinating closely with the Project Director. The position requires active stakeholder engagement with clients, contractors, designers, specialist consultants, and authorities, along with preparing detailed progress and technical reports. The role demands expertise in construction methods, materials, engineering design interpretation, MEP integration, FF&E installation, and proficiency in software tools such as MS Office Suite, Primavera P6, MS Project, and AutoCAD, combined with extensive experience in hotel construction projects and consultancy environments.
