Job description
The Senior Manager - Fixed Assets and Inventory Control at AD Ports Group in Abu Dhabi is responsible for overseeing the management of fixed assets and inventory to optimize stock levels, identify defective items, control company risks, and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and budget. The role encompasses project cost monitoring, vendor invoice review, supervision of inventory control systems, maintaining depreciation schedules, leading audits, administering asset disposal, and preparing regular financial and inventory reports. Additionally, the manager directs and supervises assigned personnel, leads cross-functional teams to streamline processes, implements best practices, and drives operational excellence. This position also includes strategic responsibilities such as planning and executing talent development and performance management programs to support the organizationās financial and operational objectives.

Key responsibilities
- Manage project costs, expenses, and payments ensuring accuracy and compliance with AD Ports Group policies, procedures, and budget
- Review vendor invoices and payments to align with project milestones and contractual agreements
- Supervise inventory control and fixed asset systems to track project-related costs, optimize stock levels, identify defective items, recommend disposals, and maintain accurate depreciation schedules
- Track financial risks, evaluate mitigation plans, and advise on improvements related to project payments and cost control
- Provide guidance on tracking, controlling, and disposing of fixed assets, materials, and supplies
- Lead periodic audits to verify existence and condition of fixed assets and support auditors during district Fixed Asset audits
- Ensure disposal of obsolete or surplus fixed assets complies with policies and regulations
- Prepare regular reports highlighting stock levels, turnover rates, and valuation for the Director of Fixed Assets and Inventory Control
- Supervise accurate reconciliation of inventory records with physical stock on hand
- Administer inventory record and asset procedures to maintain equipment and recommend updates for proper fixed asset management
- Direct, manage, and supervise assigned personnel and perform supervisory functions as established by management
- Lead cross-functional teams to streamline processes and implement best practices
- Lead strategic planning, development, execution, and evaluation of talent development and performance management programs
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or relevant field; Masterās degree is a plus
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, CFA, or CFM
- Proven experience in fixed asset management and inventory control
- Experience in project cost monitoring and vendor payment alignment
- Knowledge of financial risk evaluation and mitigation strategies
- Ability to supervise audits and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience in strategic planning, talent development, and performance management programs
- Proficiency in financial reporting and stock reconciliation
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
