The Cloud Solution Architect – Application Innovation role is a full-time, fully on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, within Microsoft’s Customer Experience and Success (CE&S) organization and Global Customer Success (GCS) team. The role focuses on driving customer application innovation and AI transformation using Microsoft Azure and GitHub platforms. The Cloud Solution Architect operates as a hands-on, customer-facing technical expert responsible for designing, building, and operating cloud solutions while resolving technical blockers that impact adoption and value realization. The position involves deep technical architecture engagements with senior customer executives, enterprise architects, platform engineers, and developers, spanning cloud applications, AI adoption, low-code opportunities, and hybrid cloud environments. The role includes leading architectural reviews, developing proof-of-concept and MVP solutions, setting up environments, supporting customer skilling through workshops and readiness activities, and ensuring deployed solutions meet performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and reliability standards. The architect drives cloud consumption growth by leveraging subject matter expertise, internal Microsoft escalation processes, and proactive engagement with customers and partners. The role requires continuous learning of emerging Azure, AI, and GitHub capabilities, hands-on development using enterprise languages such as .NET, Python, Java, and JavaScript/Node.js, and active participation in internal and external technical communities. Travel requirements range between 25% and 50%, supporting customer engagements and technical events.
