Job description

The Senior Director Design is responsible for taking overall accountability for design progress across assigned projects within a development or architectural environment. The role leads and manages in-house design teams and external consultants across multiple disciplines including Architecture, Landscape, and Interior Design, ensuring cohesive and integrated design outcomes. The position involves identifying and engaging new designers and studios to introduce fresh design trends and innovative ideas, while preparing clear and comprehensive project briefs in close coordination with senior management. The incumbent manages external consultants and internal design teams through pre-concept and concept design stages, ensuring alignment with project vision, requirements, and standards. The role leads multi-disciplinary design coordination to ensure integration across all design packages, monitors and controls design quality in coordination with technical and on-site construction teams, and ensures timely delivery of all design milestones in full compliance with project requirements and quality standards. The position requires extensive experience working with leading developers or architectural studios and demonstrated strength in managing multiple consultants across early design stages.
