Job description
Assistant Category Manager - In-House Bakery role at Panda Retail Company in Jeddah, supporting achievement of department sales, margin, other income and total commercial margin to help deliver company sales and bottom-line targets. Supports the Category Manager in developing and executing category strategies to achieve sales, margin, and profitability targets; analyzes category sales performance, pricing, and promotional data to identify improvement opportunities and support strategic decision-making. Coordinates with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of products, promotional materials, and marketing support; monitors inventory levels and product availability to ensure optimal stock management and reduced out-of-stock or overstock situations. Assists in planning and implementing promotional campaigns to ensure effective execution and increased category visibility in stores; maintains accurate product and pricing information in the system to ensure data integrity and alignment with commercial policies. Prepares category performance reports and analyses to provide management visibility into key trends and opportunities; follows up on supplier agreements and rebates to ensure timely collection and compliance with contractual obligations. Collaborates with merchandising and store operations teams to ensure proper implementation of planograms and alignment with category strategy. Requirements include bachelor degree in business or engineering, minimum 3 yearsâ experience within a related field, knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), negotiation skills, and BI and AI know how.

Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelor degree in Business or Engineering
- Have minimum 3 yearsâ experience within a related field
- Be able to support category strategy development and execution to deliver sales, margin, profitability, other income, and total commercial margin targets
- Be able to analyze category sales performance, pricing, and promotional data and produce category performance reports and analyses
- Be able to coordinate supplier and internal stakeholder deliveries for products, promotional materials, and marketing support and follow up supplier agreements and rebates for collection and compliance
- Be able to monitor inventory levels and product availability to optimize stock management and reduce out-of-stock and overstock
- Be able to plan and implement promotional campaigns and support planogram implementation with merchandising and store operations teams
