Job description
The Logistics Specialist II (Marine Fleet & Import/Export β Oil & Gas) role, embedded in KSA and based in Al Khobar, is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the movement of marine fleet, vessels, equipment, and materials for import/export scopes within the Oil & Gas Business. Reporting to the Logistics Lead, the position ensures implementation of Subsea7 processes related to logistics while maintaining knowledge of the specifics associated with operating in the Middle East. The role includes liaison with agents, authorities, operations teams, and marine agents to manage marine fleet clearance, vessel inward clearance and outward clearance, and the clearance of materials and equipment. It requires ensuring that all required customs documentation is in place prior to arrival and departure of vessels, and that documentation is communicated to agents and authorities in due time. The role ensures efficient, timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of logistics support for project activities, supports Finance Department and Management in liaison with ZATCA and authorities, and monitors regional changes in shipping laws and customs laws to maintain compliance with import/export compliance and local customs & Excise regulations. The position maintains and updates databases in shared folders for vessels and cargo movement, mobilization records and demobilization records, and contributes to a positive HSEQ culture by adhering to local HSEQ codes and HSEQ practices. The role requires relevant experience in Oil & Gas logistics, knowledge of international trade, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to manage cargo movement tracking, customs documentation, and marine agents coordination within Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate the movement of marine fleet, vessels, equipment, and materials for import/export scopes in KSA, ensuring full compliance with Subsea7 processes and Middle East operating requirements.
- Liaise with agents, authorities, operations teams, and marine agents to manage marine fleet clearance, vessel inward clearance and outward clearance, and ensure all required customs documentation is prepared and communicated prior to vessel arrival and departure.
- Ensure efficient, timely, accurate, and cost-effective logistics support for project activities, including cargo movement tracking, database maintenance of vessels and cargo movement, and maintaining mobilization records and demobilization records.
- Monitor regional changes in shipping laws and customs laws, ensure compliance with import/export compliance and local customs & Excise regulations, and support Finance Department and Management in liaison with ZATCA and other authorities.
- Promote and adhere to local HSEQ codes and HSEQ practices, contribute to a positive HSEQ culture, and provide support for ad-hoc logistics activities as assigned by the Logistics Lead.
Experience & skills
- Obtain a Bachelorβs degree or equivalent in Logistics and international trade or demonstrate 5 years Experience in similar role within logistics operations.
- Demonstrate relevant experience in Oil & Gas Business within logistics, particularly in marine fleet clearance, import/export scopes, and coordination with marine agents and authorities.
- Exhibit knowledge and understanding of Import / Export Compliance and local customs & Excise regulations, including monitoring shipping laws and customs laws applicable in KSA.
- Show proficiency in Microsoft Office and capability in maintaining databases, mobilization records, demobilization records, and accurate reporting in written and verbal formats.
- Demonstrate fluency in English preferable and ability to coordinate with multi-cultural stakeholders including agents, authorities, operations teams, and Finance Department.
- Exhibit understanding of industry processes related to logistics and ability to handle common obstructions with clear solutions in marine and Oil & Gas logistics environments.
- Demonstrate flexibility to travel and work in different locations if required while performing logistics activities under pressure to meet deadlines.
