Job description
The ELDS M&S Manager & EL Commercial Leader at ABB in Doha contributes to the Electrification Business Area in Qatar, reporting to the Regional Sales & Solutions Leader, ELDS MEA&T. The role is responsible for defining and implementing comprehensive marketing strategy and sales strategy for the assigned area, creating, planning, and executing the marketing and sales mission, vision, and strategy aligned with budget and efficiency targets. The position oversees marketing and sales action plans to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets profitably while ensuring high customer satisfaction. It includes leading the assigned division and area footprint definition covering market presence, execution standards, and delivery model. The role manages assigned teams responsible for identifying, monitoring, and maintaining or exceeding sales market price levels and evaluating pricing impact on results in collaboration with Product Management. It defines key marketing and sales targets such as volume, prices, and portfolio mix, establishes performance metrics and measurement tools, anticipates results, identifies performance gaps, and takes remedial actions to achieve targets and drive top-line growth across global markets. The position ensures achievement of order intake, margin, and related objectives for the assigned product portfolio globally, drives evaluation of new and existing markets with a proactive solutions-focused sales approach, defines systems to monitor clientsâ financial status and risk factors, establishes processes to identify and manage risks related to contract agreements and pricing across customers and channels, and develops, implements, and reviews sales processes, tools, and training and development programs within the electrification products & solutions domain.

Key responsibilities
- Define and implement the marketing strategy and sales strategy for the assigned area including mission, vision, budget, and efficiency targets.
- Lead the definition of division and area footprint including market presence, execution standards, and delivery model.

- Anticipate results, identify performance gaps, and implement remedial actions to ensure achievement of global market targets and top-line growth.
- Achieve assigned order intake, margin, and related objectives for the global product portfolio.
- Drive evaluation of new and existing markets and implement a proactive solutions-focused sales approach.
- Define systems to monitor clientsâ financial status and report changes in risk factors to internal partner teams.
- Establish processes to proactively identify and manage risks related to contract agreements and pricing across customers and channels.
- Develop, implement, and review sales processes, sales tools, and training and development programs for the Marketing and Sales function.
Experience & skills
- Possess 10-13 years of experience in marketing & sales.
- Demonstrate enhanced knowledge of electrification products & solutions.
- Hold a degree in Electrical engineering with proven industry experience.
- Exhibit team management capability within Marketing and Sales functions.
- Communicate effectively in English; Arabic is a plus.
