Job description
The QC Advisor role at Subsea 7 provides quality assurance and quality control leadership across construction and installation activities for major offshore and onshore oil and gas projects in Saudi Arabia. The role supports effective implementation of quality management systems across piping, structural and spool fabrication, offshore and onshore pipeline installation, jacket and topside installation, flexible, cable and umbilical installation, hook-up and commissioning, and pre-commissioning activities. The position works closely with project management, construction, installation, and client teams to ensure full compliance with contractual, regulatory, and Subsea 7 quality requirements. The role includes subcontractor quality management, auditing, inspection coordination, non-conformance management, corrective and preventive action planning, and supervision of QC inspectors while interfacing with major clients such as Saudi Aramco, Qatar Energy, and ADNOC.

Key responsibilities
- Support development, maintenance, and refinement of local quality programs and policies
- Develop Project Quality Management Plans and Audit Plans in line with contractual and regulatory requirements
- Support bid phase activities by evaluating construction and installation quality requirements in invitations to bid
- Identify and manage risks related to construction and installation quality inspections
- Ensure project personnel are trained and aware of quality requirements through inductions and training sessions
- Implement project quality management systems during construction and installation phases
- Coordinate preparation and implementation of project quality procedures
- Review subcontract documents including SOW and TBE and conduct subcontractor kick-off meetings
- Assess subcontractor capability to meet project quality requirements and review subcontractor Quality Management Plans
- Coordinate with clients on onshore and offshore construction and installation activities
- Manage QC inspectors and third-party inspectors for onshore and offshore inspection activities
- Appraise product quality against specifications, procedures, drawings, and Quality Plans
- Review construction and installation data books and ensure proper close-out
- Identify quality trends and advise Project Quality Manager on corrective actions
- Establish corrective and preventive action plans to prevent recurrence of deficiencies
- Verify close-out of punch list items onshore and offshore
- Conduct quality surveillance and monitor system and process effectiveness
- Supervise QC activities, inspection schedules, and quality record collection
- Allocate and supervise QC personnel across site activities
Experience & skills
- Hold a diploma or degree in Engineering or Quality Management
- Possess a minimum of 10 years overall experience including at least 5 years as a Quality Control Supervisor
- Be certified as an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor through IRCA or ASQ
- Hold CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 certification
- Hold ASNT NDT Level II certification in RT, UT, PT, VT, and MT
- Maintain NACE certification relevant to the discipline
- Demonstrate experience on EPC oil and gas and petrochemical projects
- Exhibit documented auditing experience as a Lead Auditor
- Demonstrate capability to supervise at least 15 QC inspectors
- Show understanding of welding, NDT, coating, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines
- Maintain proficiency in written and spoken English
- Demonstrate willingness and flexibility to travel onshore, offshore, and across the region
