Job description
The Chargeback Executive at Tabby is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of chargeback disputes. This includes investigating contested transactions, ensuring timely and compliant documentation, and working with both internal teams and external partners like merchants and acquirers. The role requires a solid understanding of payment systems, chargeback regulations, and fraud mitigation practices. This position plays a critical role in reducing financial losses and maintaining operational compliance with card schemes such as Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and MADA.

Key responsibilities
- Research and investigate disputed credit card transactions.
- Correspond with merchants, acquirers, and card schemes.
- Develop and maintain chargeback processes and procedures.
- Monitor and review chargeback disputes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant payment card regulations.
- Submit all chargeback, pre-compliance, and pre-arbitration documentation to acquirers within mandated timeframes.
- Monitor excessive chargebacks monthly in accordance with Visa and Mastercard regulations.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 2-3 years of experience in dispute handling or chargeback operations.
- Strong knowledge of chargeback regulations and dispute resolution processes.
- Understanding of card scheme rules for Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and MADA.
- Working knowledge of dispute and transaction analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and risk management tools.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills to engage internal and external stakeholders.
