Job description
The Senior Specialist Sales Advisory Liabilities - SME Onboarding is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of digitally initiated NEOBIZ and BCA applications, ensuring all client applications meet Mashreq Bankās risk, compliance, and operational standards. This includes pre-screening applications on the Web Portal, managing workflows through BAW, minimizing turnaround time (TAT), and maximizing straight-through processing (STP) rates. The role requires active communication with clients to ensure submission of mandatory documents and responses to governance or compliance queries, while maintaining high standards of AML, sanctions, and operational risk compliance. The specialist must also ensure accurate and timely updates on CRM systems and serve as a subject matter expert for onboarding processes and bank control policies to optimize client experience.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of customer-initiated NEOBIZ and BCA applications in the Web Portal and BAW
- Pre-screen applications to ensure completeness and compliance with bank standards
- Coordinate with clients to submit required documents and resolve information gaps
- Reduce turnaround time (TAT) and increase straight-through processing (STP) rates
- Minimize downstream application errors through rigorous quality checks
- Follow up consistently with clients to resolve governance or compliance queries
- Advise clients on application improvements to meet risk and compliance standards
- Update CRM system with real-time application status
- Demonstrate high awareness of AML, Sanctions, and Operational Risk controls
Experience & skills
- 4-6 years of banking experience, preferably in SME banking
- Prior exposure to Operations, Control Functions, or Sales preferred
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Disciplined time management and structured work approach
- Attention to detail with consistent application of policies and controls
- Knowledge of SME account opening procedures and compliance
- Familiarity with SOP, OPM, APPM, AML, and KYC policy standards
