Job description
The Manager β Waste Management (DEL 1) is responsible for leading governance and operational oversight of waste management services within Qiddiya Workers Villages in Riyadh. The role ensures environmentally responsible, compliant, and efficient waste segregation, collection, transport coordination, and disposal processes. The position oversees contractor performance, maintains regulatory compliance in line with Saudi regulations and Qiddiya standards, and drives sustainability initiatives including recycling and waste reduction. The manager works closely with HSE teams to ensure hazardous waste controls, safety compliance, and audit readiness while maintaining hygiene standards across village facilities.

Key responsibilities
- Implement and manage waste governance frameworks including segregation standards, collection schedules, and disposal compliance controls
- Oversee contractor performance ensuring adherence to SOPs, KPIs, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with HSE teams on hazardous waste handling, safety standards, and compliance inspections
- Maintain accurate records of waste volumes, disposal manifests, and audit-ready documentation
- Drive environmental hygiene and readiness across common areas through structured waste control programs
- Identify and implement waste reduction, recycling, and sustainability improvement initiatives
- Manage service disruptions, escalations, non-compliance incidents, and corrective action plans
- Prepare performance reports, inspections, and regulatory compliance documentation aligned with KPIs
Experience & skills
- Bachelorβs degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field
- Minimum 6 years of experience in waste management, environmental services, or facilities operations
- At least 3 years of managerial experience overseeing contractor-led services and compliance programs
- Strong knowledge of Saudi environmental regulations and waste management standards
- Experience in hazardous waste controls and regulatory compliance preferred
- Professional certifications such as PMP/PRINCE2, NEBOSH/IOSH, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, IFMA, or CIPS preferred
- Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to drive performance improvements and sustainability initiatives
