Job description
The Brand Manager ā Oncology is responsible for planning, creating, and producing marketing, advertising, and sales promotion materials to implement marketing strategies and achieve sales objectives. The role includes developing promotional plans, managing marketing budgets and timelines, collaborating with brand teams to secure resources, maintaining awareness of competitive activities, managing relationships with advertising agencies and vendors, and implementing promotional and communication strategies. Based in either Dubai, UAE or Riyadh, KSA, the role supports AstraZenecaās oncology portfolio, contributing to its growth in the GCC market.

Key responsibilities
- Develops and/or facilitates the development and creation of the promotional plan and programs ensuring consistency with the brand strategy.
- Develops and manages the promotion/communication budget and project timelines.
- Collaborates with the brand team to make a convincing case for appropriate budget and expectations for marketing opportunities.
- Maintains awareness of competitive activity in consumer marketing.
- Manages overall relationships with advertising agencies and other vendors.
- Responsible for the implementation of promotional/communication strategies, plans, and programs in support of brand strategies and objectives.
- Provides input into Communication Planning and Operational Planning.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Pharmaceuticals, Science, or a relevant field.
- For Internal Candidates: Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least one year in AstraZeneca.
- For External Candidates: Minimum 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing roles in Oncology/Specialty care in GCC.
- Oncology/marketing experience is preferred.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to develop short and long-term brand strategies.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Project management skills to organize and manage multiple projects aligned with brand objectives.
