Job description
The Commercial Solution Engineer role is a customer-facing pre-sales position based in Dubai, focused on supporting enterprise and commercial accounts in the local market. The role requires fluency in Arabic and English and involves working closely with account executives and channel partners to understand customer business and technical requirements. The Commercial Solution Engineer is responsible for positioning Snowflake’s cloud data platform as the optimal solution for complex data challenges, guiding prospects through technical discovery, demonstrations, proof of concepts, and solution design. The position combines deep technical knowledge in data architecture, analytics, and cloud technologies with strong business acumen and executive-level communication skills. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor, build technical champions within customer organizations, and collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously enhance product adoption and market positioning. This role demands hands-on technical engagement, strong presentation capabilities, and the ability to translate platform capabilities into measurable business outcomes for customers across industries.

Key responsibilities
- Partner with account executives and channel partners to conduct technical discovery sessions, understand customer data architecture, and identify business and technical requirements.
- Present Snowflake’s technology vision, architecture, and roadmap to technical contributors, business stakeholders, and executive leadership in both Arabic and English.
- Lead and execute product demonstrations, workshops, and proof of concept (POC) engagements, showcasing the value of Snowflake’s cloud data platform across the sales lifecycle.
- Design and propose scalable data architectures aligned with customer use cases, including analytics, data engineering, and modern data workloads.
- Develop and nurture technical champions within customer accounts to accelerate deal progression and secure technical wins.
- Collaborate with ecosystem and implementation partners to design joint architectures and coordinate go-to-market account strategies.
- Maintain deep knowledge of competitive and complementary technologies and articulate clear differentiation in customer engagements.
- Provide feedback to Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams based on field insights to improve product capabilities and messaging.
- Represent Snowflake at industry events, executive briefings, and customer engagements to promote platform adoption and thought leadership.
Experience & skills
- Fluency in Arabic (native or near-native) and strong professional proficiency in English.
- Proven experience in sales engineering, solution architecture, or technical pre-sales within a SaaS, cloud, analytics, or data-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, data analytics, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP environments).
- Hands-on experience with SQL and the ability to perform live technical demonstrations and data-related troubleshooting.
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills, capable of engaging both technical teams and executive audiences.
- Ability to translate business challenges into technical solution designs that deliver measurable outcomes.
- Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships across diverse stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with Python, modern data stack tools (e.g., dbt, Apache Spark), containerization, DevOps tooling, orchestration platforms, Git, and exposure to data science or machine learning workflows.
