Job description
As a DevOps Engineer within the Google Cloud Security Technical Solutions team, you will support customer success by designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade software and infrastructure. Your work will focus on developing secure, scalable systems and working across both internal teams and external clients to co-develop solutions. You will write and test code, review system architecture, troubleshoot and resolve product or system issues, and ensure the delivery of high-quality DevOps and cloud-based software operations. You will contribute to technical leadership and collaborate with teams to evolve Google Cloudâs product offerings.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Write and test product or system development code.
- Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide among available technologies.
- Review code, providing feedback to ensure best practices.
- Triage product or system issues and debug, track, and resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
- Work with the client and client team to co-develop solutions.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- Experience in working with cloud environments.
- Experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Masterâs degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field (preferred).
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role (preferred).
- Experience in developing security operations products (preferred).
- Experience with DevOps (preferred).
- Experience in maintaining development environments and launching software products (preferred).
- Experience with software design and architecture (preferred).
