Job description
The Facility Manager ensures that the building services meet occupant needs by maintaining the physical infrastructure, safety, and operational efficiency. The role combines hands-on technical oversight with strategic planning, vendor management, budgeting, and compliance. Responsibilities cover management of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, scheduling preventative and reactive maintenance, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and regulatory standards, and implementing physical security measures including access control and alarm systems. The role also involves planning office layouts, coordinating relocations or refurbishments, managing external contractors for services such as cleaning, security, and catering, and monitoring operational and capital expenditure to optimize costs.

Key responsibilities
- Oversee all building installations including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Schedule and manage preventative and reactive maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and government regulations
- Source, negotiate, and supervise external contractors for cleaning, security, and catering services
- Plan office layouts and coordinate relocations or refurbishments to maximize space utilization
- Implement and maintain physical security measures including access control and alarm systems

Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or Business Administration
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities, building operations, or property management
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Experience in health and safety compliance and government regulations
- Proven vendor management and contract negotiation skills
- Budget management experience for operational and capital expenditures
- Knowledge in space planning, office layouts, relocations, and refurbishments
- Experience implementing and managing physical security systems
