Job description
Maaden is the largest multi-commodity mining and metals company in the Middle East, and its future mines depend on what exploration geologists find and prove up today. Based at a field base in Saudi Arabia, this position drives mineral resource discovery and growth across an assigned exploration portfolio. Exploration plans are shaped around priority targets, and mineralisation potential is defined through careful geological interpretation. Drilling, mapping, sampling and field programmes run under your lead, with contractors, equipment and resources coordinated to keep them safe, productive and on budget. Geological data capture, validation and reporting need to be reliable, and databases and quality controls are improved over time. Models and technical outputs built from that data feed resource evaluation, and results are turned into clear recommendations for investment and portfolio decisions. Resource development, mining and study teams are close partners, so exploration stays aligned with business priorities. Building capability across the exploration team and sharing knowledge are part of the role too. Expect to need 10 to 15 years in geology, exploration or resource development, including experience leading drilling, geological modelling and resource evaluation.
