Job description
The Recruiting Manager at ENGIE IMEA Dubai oversees the Talent Acquisition team and manages the entire recruitment process for positions across all levels within the GCC region. The role involves sourcing candidates from diverse backgrounds, promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and advancing women in leadership, utilising direct advertising, referrals, professional networking, and various recruitment channels. Responsibilities include drafting job descriptions, preparing engaging job adverts, shortlisting candidates, conducting interviews, psychometric assessments, and other selection methods. The manager collaborates with the Compensation & Benefits team to prepare offers, negotiates employment contracts, manages Preferred Supplier Arrangements with third-party providers, maintains an applicant database, and tracks key recruitment KPIs such as time to hire, internal mobility rates, and localisation efforts. The position also contributes to HR projects, strategic workforce planning, and deployment of the Employee Value Proposition to enhance employer branding. Strong knowledge of HR rules and regulations, regional workforce markets, analytical interviewing, and recruitment process optimization is required, along with proficiency in ATS/HRIS systems and high-volume recruitment management.

- Ensure full compliance with all recruitment policies and procedures, identifying and suggesting opportunities for improvement
- Actively source candidates from diverse backgrounds for open vacancies, ensuring alignment with ENGIE’s objectives on diversity, equity, inclusion, and advancement of women in leadership
- Utilise direct advertising, referrals, and professional networking to build cost-effective talent pipelines
- Offer guidance and support to managers on all aspects of recruitment, including best practices in selection and assessment
- Support management in drafting job descriptions and person specifications, write engaging job adverts, and determine effective channels for internal and external advertising
- Identify and recommend new recruitment channels to enhance employer branding
- Shortlist candidates, conduct interviews, psychometric assessments, personality questionnaires, and other selection methods
- Collaborate with Compensation & Benefits team to prepare offers and negotiate employment contracts, including working with expatriate advisors for internal mobility candidates
- Manage Preferred Supplier Arrangements with third-party providers to ensure quality and timely delivery
- Provide regular vacancy updates to line managers to ensure transparency and effective communication
- Implement a systematic approach to forecasting vacancies and contribute to strategic workforce planning initiatives
- Deploy the Employee Value Proposition to promote the company as an employer of choice
- Participate actively in HR projects to support the overall HR team success
- Maintain a well-organized and up-to-date applicant database to support efficient recruitment processes
- Track and analyse key recruitment KPIs to inform continuous improvement and ensure targets are met
Experience & skills
- 6–10 years comprehensive, end-to-end recruitment experience within the Middle East region
- Experience in leading a team
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of filling mid to senior-level roles directly
- Experience improving recruitment processes
- Proficiency in ATS/HRIS systems
- Experience creating or optimizing sourcing strategies
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent
- Able to apply HR rules and regulations objectively and consistently
- In-depth knowledge of the regional workforce market
