Job description
The Senior Specialist ā Enterprise Tooling serves as the primary owner of the ServiceNow platform, overseeing its configuration, customization, governance, integrations, upgrades, patches, migrations, performance, security posture, and lifecycle management across the organization. The role drives platform strategy, establishes development standards, aligns business requirements with technical ServiceNow solutions, conducts capability assessments, and leads the development and deployment of ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and CMDB. Responsibilities include optimizing CMDB data structures, relationships, workflows, and data quality; enabling ServiceNow support for Agile and DevOps workflows; conducting process improvement workshops using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; developing metrics for continuous improvement; delivering digital literacy training and documentation; mentoring ServiceNow professionals; collaborating with IT, security, compliance, and business units; and identifying risks, issues, and dependencies across enterprise tooling initiatives. The position requires hands-on expertise as a ServiceNow ITSM Developer and Administrator, deep understanding of ITSM processes and governance frameworks, strong scripting and integration skills, and the ability to drive enterprise-wide tooling transformation in fast-paced, regulated environments.

Key responsibilities
- Act as primary owner of the ServiceNow platform and oversee configuration, customization, development, and integrations
- Manage upgrades, patches, migrations, and lifecycle activities ensuring performance, stability, and security
- Establish and enforce governance, development standards, and best practices for ServiceNow
- Collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to define roadmaps and platform requirements
- Translate business needs into actionable ServiceNow deliverables and assess platform capabilities
- Lead design, development, and deployment of ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and CMDB
- Manage and optimize CMDB structures, relationships, workflows, and data quality
- Engage end users to gather feedback and drive platform enhancements
- Support Agile and DevOps initiatives using ServiceNow Agile and DevOps modules
- Facilitate process improvement workshops using Lean and Six Sigma principles
- Develop metrics to assess improvement initiatives and drive continuous improvement culture
- Deliver training, documentation, and digital literacy support
- Lead and mentor ServiceNow team members
- Collaborate with IT, compliance, security, and business units to implement scalable and secure tooling solutions
- Identify risks, issues, and dependencies and implement mitigation strategies
Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelorās degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Bring at least 5 years of IT Service Management or IT Service Delivery experience
- Demonstrate mandatory hands-on experience as a ServiceNow ITSM Developer across design, development, and deployment
- Show proven experience as a ServiceNow administrator, developer, and platform owner
- Possess deep understanding of ITSM processes, IT governance frameworks, and operational risk management
- Show strong technical skills in scripting, workflow design, integrations, and platform customization
- Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
- Preferred certifications: ServiceNow Administration, ITSM, ITIL, DevOps, Six Sigma, COBIT
- Preferred experience with process optimization using Lean or Six Sigma
- Preferred experience in implementing Agile/DevOps workflows within ServiceNow
