Job description
The Portfolio Relationship Manager in the banking and financial services sector is responsible for managing and growing client portfolios with a focus on the premium segment. The role involves maintaining regular client communication via phone, email, meetings, and visits, addressing customer complaints, conducting financial reviews, and developing tailored sales plans aligned with clientsâ financial goals. The manager ensures portfolio growth in liabilities, FX, fees, trade transactions, investments, and overall financial targets, identifying cross-selling opportunities and increasing products per customer. Responsibilities include using data analytics to identify high-potential clients, organizing sales events, and maintaining a strong sales pipeline. The role requires collaboration with internal teams, adherence to line manager instructions, and utilization of MIS/CRM software to track client interactions and sales activities. The manager also monitors portfolio risk by adhering to AML, ADIB compliance, P&P, and central bank regulations, providing documentation to compliance, identifying suspicious activities, and implementing risk mitigation strategies. Knowledge of anti-money laundering measures, compliance policies, central bank regulations, due diligence, and risk monitoring is essential, along with proficiency in customer service, documentation compliance, and handling complaints. Familiarity with ADIB policies and procedures is advantageous. The position may require working across multiple locations to meet business needs.

- Maintain regular communication with clients to enhance portfolio growth and satisfaction
- Address and resolve customer complaints effectively using phone, email, meetings, and visits
- Develop tailored sales plans based on clientsâ financial needs and goals
- Conduct financial reviews to identify additional needs and cross-selling opportunities
- Manage the portfolio to achieve growth in liabilities, FX, fees, trade transactions, investments, and general financial targets
- Identify cross-selling opportunities to increase revenue and implement strategies to maximize portfolio growth while mitigating risk
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics and use data analytics to identify high-potential clients
- Organize and participate in sales events to generate leads and maintain a strong sales pipeline
- Support the team across all areas and follow line manager instructions to complete assigned tasks
- Monitor and analyze cross-selling performance and use customer feedback to refine approaches
- Maintain awareness of risk parameters including AML, ADIB compliance, P&P, and central bank regulations
- Provide necessary inquiries and documents to the compliance department and monitor customer transactions for risk or non-compliance patterns
- Implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the portfolio
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in banking or financial services
- Knowledge of anti-money laundering measures, compliance policies, and central bank regulations
- Proficient in client relationship management and customer service
- Ability to coordinate and ensure documentation compliance with organizational policies
- Familiarity with risk monitoring, due diligence, and updating customer records in compliance with regulations
- Flexibility to work in multiple locations based on business needs
- Familiarity with ADIB policies and procedures is an advantage
- Adherence to line manager instructions and ability to handle various assigned tasks
