Job description
The Engineering Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing 3D modelling and CAD environments across engineering projects in Qatar. The role bridges project management, CAD specialists, and ICT teams to ensure that client and contractual requirements are translated into efficient, value-driven 3D workflows. The incumbent supports both bidding and execution phases, drives innovation in modelling processes, and ensures productivity gains through customized digital solutions.

Key responsibilities
- Liaise with CAD specialists and project teams to translate client requirements into optimized 3D modelling processes.
- Support project management during bidding in selecting appropriate CAD software and evaluating related costs, schedules, and man-hours.
- Issue project specifications and user guidelines for 3D modelling tools.
- Set up and configure 3D modelling systems and support 3D model specialists during project execution.
- Develop customized commands, labels, shapes, and automated reports within the 3D software programming module.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements within the assigned scope of responsibility.
- Collaborate with ICT teams to manage 3D software systems and integrations.
- Identify critical issues in 3D model development and propose corrective or recovery actions.
- Support construction teams with as-built 3D model updates and validation.
- Promote continuous improvement by optimizing workflows, updating technical standards, and capturing lessons learned.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in engineering coordination and 3D modelling environments.
- Strong knowledge of CAD systems and 3D modelling tools.
- Experience in project bidding and execution phases within large-scale engineering projects.
- Fluent in English (mandatory).
- Professional knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to innovate, optimize workflows, and drive productivity improvements.
