Job description
The Engineer Mobile Txm (Wireless Network Operations) role in Dubai (Business Unit: edara; Job Category: Infra) is a full-time position focused on end-to-end network/service surveillance, incident handling, and performance management for mobile and wireless networks operating in a 24x7x365 environment. The engineer will manage critical and major issue reporting and execute timely management notifications and escalations per the company escalation matrix, while coordinating with service partners and stakeholders. Core technical duties include performing traffic re-engineering, links capacity upgrades, and nodes version upgrades to mitigate KPI degradation on the wireless network, initiating and managing performance and acceptance requests, and troubleshooting, diagnosing, and rectifying all wireless network related issues escalated from other departments. The role requires excellent understanding of wireless broadband technologies and Radio Access Network (NSN/Huawei/Ericsson 2G/3G/4G/5G), Cisco Wi-Fi, RTN Transmission, and AAA, as well as proven expertise in NOC operations and incident resolution within SLA. Tooling and platform proficiency includes monitoring and OSS systems such as Huawei NCE, NFMP, PRTG, Cisco Prime, Ericsson ENM, Huawei U2020, and Nokia NetAct. Strong programming and automation capabilities are essential, with hands-on experience in Python, Power BI, and SQL for data management and analysis, plus advanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel automation and VBA scripting to develop automated workflows and dashboards that improve operational efficiency. The engineer acts as a technical/process leader for Operation and Maintenance of Mobile and Wireless Networks, handles network incidents within SLA, and continuously learns and adapts to emerging technologies in automation, AI, and data science, ensuring robust surveillance, capacity planning, KPI management, and acceptance processes across the wireless infrastructure.

Key responsibilities
- Oversee network and service surveillance and handle team coordination during shift operations to maintain continuous mobile and wireless network performance
- Report critical and major issues to management and execute management notifications and escalations in accordance with the company escalation matrix
- Escalate critical network issues in a timely manner to service partners, stakeholders, and the management team following defined company processes
- Perform traffic re-engineering, execute links capacity upgrades, and conduct nodes version upgrades to address KPI degradation complaints due to wireless network limitations
- Initiate and manage network performance and acceptance requests to sustain operational quality and compliance with defined KPIs
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and rectify wireless network related issues and impairments escalated from other departments to ensure service restoration within SLA
- Utilize monitoring and OSS tools including Huawei NCE, NFMP, PRTG, Cisco Prime, Ericsson ENM, Huawei U2020, and Nokia NetAct to monitor, analyze, and optimize network health
- Develop automated workflows and dashboards using Python, Power BI, SQL, Excel automation, and VBA scripting to improve operational efficiency and reporting accuracy
- Lead technical and process activities for the operation and maintenance of mobile and wireless networks, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards
- Handle and manage network incidents within SLA by applying proven incident management and resolution procedures across multi-vendor RAN, Wi-Fi, transmission, and AAA domains
Experience & skills
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunication Engineering
- Bring a minimum of 5+ years of experience in NOC operations within a Telecom/Communication industry wireless network environment
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a 24 x 7 x 365 environment supporting live network operations
- Show proven expertise in network troubleshooting and incident resolution across wireless broadband technologies
- Exhibit hands-on proficiency with monitoring tools such as Huawei NCE, NFMP, PRTG, Cisco Prime, Ericsson ENM, Huawei U2020, and Nokia NetAct
- Demonstrate strong programming and automation skills with practical experience in Python, Power BI, and SQL for data management and analysis
