Job description
Egis, an international leader in architecture, consulting, construction engineering, and mobility services operating in 100 countries, is seeking a Director – Interior Design to lead and oversee the Interior Design division within Omrania, a member of 10N Collective under the Egis Group, based in Riyadh. The role is responsible for establishing the creative vision, ensuring design excellence across hospitality, mixed-use, commercial, residential, cultural, and giga-project sectors throughout Saudi Arabia, and aligning the local studio’s objectives with the broader Egis Group strategy. The Director will lead and grow the Interior Design department, define and implement design vision, standards, and best practices, and promote innovation, sustainability, and excellence in concept design, space planning, and FF&E strategy. The position provides executive oversight on major interior design projects, overseeing concept development, design documentation, and site supervision phases while ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with Saudi building codes, international best practices, and client requirements. The role supports and leads proposal submissions, client presentations, and interviews, identifies and secures new business opportunities within KSA and GCC, and maintains strong relationships with developers, government entities, and private clients to drive revenue growth and profitability. Operationally, the Director manages departmental budgets and resource planning, oversees recruitment and team structure, monitors financial performance of projects, and implements quality control systems and risk management procedures, while leveraging proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Adobe Suite, and other design software to maintain technical excellence and cross-disciplinary collaboration within Egis Group.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and grow the Interior Design department in Riyadh by defining and implementing the creative vision, design standards, and best practices aligned with Egis Group strategy and promoting innovation, sustainability, and design excellence
- Provide executive oversight on major interior design projects across hospitality, mixed-use, commercial, residential, cultural, and giga-project sectors by overseeing concept design, space planning, FF&E strategy, design documentation, and site supervision phases
- Ensure project delivery on time and within budget while maintaining compliance with Saudi building codes, international best practices, and client requirements and implementing quality control systems and risk management procedures
- Support and lead proposal submissions, client presentations, and interviews to identify and secure new business opportunities within KSA and GCC and contribute to revenue growth and profitability targets
- Act as primary design authority for key accounts by maintaining strong relationships with developers, government entities, private clients, and coordinating with architecture, engineering, and specialist disciplines within Egis Group
- Align local studio objectives with regional and group-level strategy and support regional market expansion initiatives across Saudi Arabia and the GCC
- Manage departmental budgets, resource planning, and recruitment while overseeing team structure, performance evaluations, and mentorship of a high-performing multicultural design team
- Monitor financial performance of projects and ensure profitability through structured financial performance monitoring, budget management, and strategic operational oversight
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field with Master’s preferred and possess professional certifications such as NCIDQ, RIBA, or equivalent as an advantage
- Demonstrate 20 years of progressive experience in Interior Design including a minimum 5–7 years in a senior leadership role at Associate Director or Director level
- Show proven experience delivering large-scale, high-profile projects in the Middle East with KSA experience highly preferred and exposure to government entities and giga-projects as an advantage
- Exhibit strong expertise in concept design, space planning, FF&E strategy, and deep understanding of hospitality and mixed-use interior standards
- Demonstrate knowledge of Saudi building codes and international best practices and apply compliance standards across all project phases
- Possess proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Adobe Suite, and related tools to support design documentation and technical excellence
- Apply commercial acumen and financial oversight capabilities including budget management, resource planning, financial performance monitoring, and implementation of quality control systems and risk management procedures
- Demonstrate strategic leadership, client relationship management, cross-disciplinary collaboration, team development and mentorship, and cultural awareness within the regional market context
