Job description
The Individual Distribution Manager role at Cigna Healthcare is responsible for driving growth and retention of the Individual health insurance business across the United Arab Emirates through both direct and intermediary distribution channels. Reporting to the Director, Individual & SME Distribution, the role focuses on disciplined sales execution, performance management, and commercial governance to ensure sustainable, compliant growth. The position leads Individual sales and retention teams, manages broker and aggregator partnerships, and works cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Underwriting, Compliance, Marketing, and IT teams. The role requires strong expertise in UAE individual health insurance market dynamics, regulatory frameworks including CBUAE, DHA, and DOH, and hands-on use of Salesforce for pipeline management, forecasting, data accuracy, and performance tracking. Responsibilities include delivering new business and retention targets, optimizing pricing and margins through collaboration with underwriting and finance, championing compliance and operational excellence, managing escalations with a customer health-first mindset, and driving collaboration with marketing and digital teams to enhance lead quality. The role operates within a hybrid working model, supporting a multicultural environment and aligned with Cigna Healthcareās mission to advance whole-person health.

Key responsibilities
- Deliver new business and retention targets for the Individual health insurance business across the UAE
- Drive disciplined pipeline management and accurate Salesforce forecasting
- Coach, develop, and manage Individual sales and retention teams to ensure consistent performance
- Build and strengthen broker and aggregator partnerships to improve conversion rates
- Partner with Product, Finance, and Underwriting teams to support pricing and margin optimization
- Champion compliance and operational excellence across all sales and distribution processes
- Foster a customer health-first culture and manage escalations effectively
- Promote Salesforce adoption, data accuracy, and continuous process improvement
- Collaborate with Marketing and Digital teams to improve lead quality and conversion
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelorās degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, with MBA preferred
- Possess 7ā10 years of experience in health insurance, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Demonstrate strong understanding of UAE individual health insurance, broker and aggregator dynamics
- Show familiarity with Salesforce, compliance frameworks, and UAE regulatory requirements including CBUAE, DHA, and DOH
- Provide proven track record in sales delivery, conversion management, and retention growth
