Job description
Wood's Oil, Gas & New Energies business is delivering a high-profile offshore development to ADNOC Offshore procedures, and this PMC Construction Site Manager post runs the construction side of it from Abu Dhabi. Scope takes in the Islands U/G civil works, onshore fabrication and precast, offshore transportation and installation, mechanical completion and brownfield modifications. Construction Leaders for on island construction and onshore precast report directly to you, and the Contractor's planning and execution is managed against project objectives and obligations. Safety comes first on every front, with an Integrated Safety Plan for construction, including SIMOPS for all island and brownfield work, stewarded under the "Nobody gets Hurt" objective. Brownfield work means close coordination with ADNOC Offshore OPCO so production operations carry on with minimal disruption. Interfaces with other UZ Projects, Production Operations and Drilling also need steady management. Planning, scheduling, cost control, risk mitigation and contract oversight all feed into regular progress reporting to the Project Team and stakeholders. Constructability is checked early through design reviews, readiness reviews, constructability workshops and CERs. Mentoring UAE Nationals in construction management is part of the brief, and the role calls for at least 20 years of construction management on large oil and gas development projects.
