Job description

Microsoftâs Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) powers cloud services like Azure, Office 365, Xbox, and more. The DCOM will lead data center teams and operations, ensuring safety, compliance, performance, and seamless service delivery to global customers. This role includes leading diverse technical teams, managing complex infrastructure, and ensuring sustainability, innovation, and customer obsession remain central to operational execution.

Key responsibilities
- Deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring.
- Define team objectives and outcomes and help the team adapt and learn.
- Attract and retain great people and invest in their growth.
- Document and drive alignment on dependencies, contracts, and operational metrics.
- Review SLAs, KPIs, and OKRs to improve IT and CE services.
- Support global and regional initiatives such as safety, risk assessments, and certifications.
- Plan and forecast budgets and resource allocations for data center requirements.
- Ensure execution of business partner requirements without compromising datacenter availability and safety.
- Follow health and safety guidelines and report security concerns immediately.
- Manage client relationships to ensure service quality and satisfaction.
- Participate in high-severity incident meetings and postmortem analysis.
- Ensure staff training completion and align with L&D organization.
- Encourage collaboration and innovation across diverse teams and functions.
- Delegate responsibilities to grow future leaders and promote ownership culture.
- Identify and resolve cross-service unaddressed issues to maintain service quality.
Experience & skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent AND 5+ years of experience in mission-critical service management.
- 3+ years of experience leading a diverse, technical team.
- Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background checks.
- Preferred: 6+ years managing large scale and complex projects or programs.
- Preferred: 6+ years in critical environment infrastructure and IT infrastructure.
- Preferred: Bachelorâs Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Preferred: Experience managing budgets over $1M.
- Preferred: 5+ years leading global/virtual teams.
- Preferred Certifications: ASICS, CompTIA, CCNA, ITIL v3, PMP, CDCP.
