Job description
The IT Delivery Lead – Emirates Group IT (Emiratisation) in Dubai, UAE, is responsible for managing and developing high-performing, cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of technical products in alignment with business goals. The role involves planning, scheduling, and executing project activities from the product backlog to delivery, facilitating key Agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement, planning sessions, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. The IT Delivery Lead identifies and manages risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies, removes impediments, and ensures optimal flow of value across initiatives. This senior role defines and maintains robust delivery processes, implements best practices, ensures adherence to Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done (DoD), and oversees project management tools including Planview and JIRA. The position also manages suppliers, monitors scope, timeline, and budget, and collaborates with Technical Product Owners to maintain alignment with business objectives. The IT Delivery Lead fosters a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and delivery excellence while guiding the team to apply project management principles effectively, ensuring high-quality outcomes and meaningful business value.

- Lead planning, scheduling, and execution of project activities from technical product backlog to delivery.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, planning sessions, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies; remove impediments to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Define, maintain, and continuously improve delivery processes and implement best practices.
- Ensure adherence to Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done (DoD) in project deliverables.
- Oversee the use of project management tools such as Planview and JIRA for tracking and reporting.
- Manage suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Partner with Technical Product Owners to refine and maintain the product backlog aligned with business goals.
- Oversee execution of projects, manage stakeholder expectations, and maintain visibility across scope, timeline, and budget.
- Foster team culture of accountability, autonomy, and continuous learning through coaching and guidance.
Experience & skills
- Degree or Honours (12+3) or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Knowledge and experience in Scrum management discipline.
- Project Management Institute - Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) preferred.
- Proven leadership and project delivery experience in a matrix organization with global teams.
- Experience managing technology change programs of small to medium scale.
- Proficiency with software delivery tools such as MS Office Suite, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Strong ability to communicate specialist information to stakeholders in understandable formats.
- Demonstrated ability to manage risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations across complex initiatives.
