Job description
The Senior Resource Manager at Baker Hughes plays a pivotal role in managing and strategically aligning Field Service Engineers within the Industrial and Energy Technology (IET) business. This includes overseeing the hiring, development, training, and deployment of resources to meet customer and industry demands across the region. The position requires close collaboration with various internal teams to support effective outage planning, resource utilization, training needs, and field operations logistics, ensuring top-tier service delivery while promoting company values and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities
- Attend review calls with planners, service managers, and teams to support outage planning and resource fulfilment.
- Manage a team of Field Engineers, resolving team and individual issues in accordance with policies.
- Verify readiness of Field Service Engineers for their tasks.
- Ensure skill and knowledge levels of resource pool align with industry standards and customer needs.
- Maximise FSE utilisation and assigned hours to exceed annual targets.
- Minimise bench time cost and establish contingency planning.
- Ensure compliance with field policies and procedures across the team.
- Coordinate career path planning and progression of engineers.
- Assign training programs to support multiskilling and regional demand.
- Collaborate with immigration and execution teams to support mobilization, logistics, and site readiness.
- Promote a strong Health and Safety culture.
- Drive core values and inclusive culture based on collaboration, transparency, and care.
- Ensure data integrity in IT systems such as Salesforce, FAP, and Workday.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās Engineering degree with 8 to 10 years of industry experience.
- Experience in resource management, project management, or operations/site leadership.
- Industry certifications in project management, HR, or technical disciplines desired.
- Technical knowledge of gas turbines and/or rotating equipment is preferable.
- Oil & Gas or Power/Energy industry experience preferred.
- Strong service skills to support internal and customer needs.
- People leadership skills and problem-solving capabilities.
- Efficient time management and planning/project management experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across employee levels.
- Ability to perform well under pressure.
