Job description
The MOCC Engineer – Qatar Executive is responsible for the continuous monitoring of aircraft technical defects across the Qatar Executive Commercial Fleet to improve technical dispatch reliability, reduce aircraft delays and groundings, achieve 100% on-time departures, and enhance overall customer experience. The role operates within the QE Maintenance Operations Control Centre (MOCC), which functions on a 24/7/365 shift basis, reporting directly to the QE MOCC Lead Engineer. The position requires strict adherence to QE MOCC procedures, accurate and thorough maintenance of shift logs and handover documentation, and proactive communication of aircraft-related defects that may impact schedules or operations to the QE Senior Manager CAMO to ensure mutually agreed corrective actions. The role involves managing fleet reliability by monitoring repetitive defects, proposing remedial actions, and working closely with QE CAMO to recommend adjustments to routine maintenance task frequencies to improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs away from the main base. The MOCC Engineer ensures timely dissemination of information related to aircraft technical discrepancies occurring away from base to QE IOC, Fleet Management, and QE CAMO. The role coordinates maintenance support through contracted and non-contracted Maintenance Repair Organizations (MROs), ensures all work performed by QR145 and third-party MROs complies with the QE Continued Maintenance Organization Exposition (QE CAME), and coordinates with the QE Supply Chain Manager to order and deliver aircraft parts and materials required for defect rectification away from base to maintain flight schedules. The role requires certifying experience, MOCC operational experience, aircraft type ratings, and operational familiarity with commercial business aviation fleets.
