Job description

As Senior Manager – Product Developer for Private Label at Careem in Dubai, the role centers on end-to-end product development and compliance for a Private Label assortment within Careem’s Groceries team. Responsibilities span creating product concepts from staples to trend-led innovations, managing the NPD pipeline across all private label categories, and owning regulatory and legal aspects of bringing new private label products to market. The scope includes formulation, sourcing, determining optimal packaging, securing label approvals, certification, and quality documentation; reviewing and approving product specifications, formulations, packaging, and labeling in line with UAE/GCC regulations; coordinating with certification bodies and suppliers to secure required quality approvals; maintaining product dossiers, technical specifications, and supplier QA agreements; supporting audits and inspections as needed; and working cross-functionally with commercial, supply chain, legal, and design teams to launch new products aligned to category growth targets. The mandate requires strong knowledge of UAE and GCC regulatory frameworks (food and non-food), proven collaboration with suppliers, labs, and certification bodies, and the ability to manage multiple projects on tight timelines in a startup-style environment.
