Job description
The Murex Reporting Business Analyst role supports a large banking client in Saudi Arabia undertaking a Murex greenfield implementation project. The position focuses on the Murex Datamart and reporting domain, requiring deep expertise in MX3.1, Murex reporting architecture, datamodels, and Datamart configuration. The role involves understanding the full Murex system setup at the client, including end-of-day procedures, report delivery processes, and support team organization. The analyst is responsible for producing detailed business and technical requirement specifications, developing generic data models, building Datamart objects, reconciling Datamart extraction outputs with on-screen and Mreport outputs, and analyzing discrepancies caused by filter conditions, dynamic table flags, and launcher flags. The role also includes optimizing Datamart configurations by identifying redundant objects to reduce batch execution times and maximize object reuse. Strong technical capabilities are required across SQL (Sybase and Oracle), reporting tools, Unix commands, and financial domain knowledge covering the trade lifecycle and a wide range of derivatives products.
