Job description
The Finance Manager role at Al-Futtaim Automotive is central to ensuring efficient governance and control of financial services across UAE, GCC, and international geographies. The position demands accurate and timely reporting, adherence to international accounting standards, audit and compliance management, and proactive cost control. The role includes defining accounting policies, supervising financial functions, publishing monthly financial packs, and maintaining reconciliation processes. It requires strong leadership to manage teams, compliance with Central Bank regulations, and effective financial operations aligned with the groupās strategic objectives.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Define accounting policies and processes in accordance with IAS and IFRS standards
- Ensure accurate recording of income and expenses
- Manage contracts and agreements with stakeholders
- Submit accurate financial results within reporting deadlines
- Monitor accruals, payables, and receivables to minimize discrepancies
- Coordinate with AFSS and group companies on intra-company transactions
- Conduct monthly closing, budget analysis, and YOY variance analyses
- Reconcile fixed assets, particularly fleets
- Implement proactive cost control measures
- Prepare internal, statutory, and regulatory financial reports
- Enhance coordination with brands and stakeholders for seamless operations
- Define and manage cost centers with proper allocations
- Prepare monthly brand revenue split reports
- Manage UAE VAT compliance
- Plan, manage, and supervise interim and statutory audits
- Respond to internal audit observations and ensure compliance with regulations
- Manage petty cash and credit card usage for rental and leasing operations
- Motivate, develop, and manage team performance and structure
Experience & skills
- Minimum 10 years of extensive experience in accounting and finance, preferably in the automotive industry
- Chartered or Management Accountant qualification
- Expertise in managing finance departments including accounting and analysis
- Knowledge and compliance with International Accounting and Reporting Standards
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP FICO
- Strong relationship management and communication skills
- Ability to analyze financials and market conditions to identify growth opportunities
