Job description
The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services. This includes reviewing prescriptions for accuracy and legality, managing inventory and labeling of medicines, preparing medications, maintaining patient records, and providing customer advice. The role also involves assisting in minor medical services such as injections and vital sign measurements, while complying with all healthcare regulations and staying up-to-date with medical advancements.

Key responsibilities
- Review and execute physicianâs prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality.
- Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster.
- Maintain full control over delivering, stocking and labeling medicine and other products and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deterioration.
- Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice.
- Provide assistance to other medical services such as injections, blood pressure/temperature measurements etc.
- Prepare medicine when appropriate using correct dosages and material for each individual patient.
- Keep records of patient history and of all activities regarding heavy medication.
- Keep abreast of advancements in medicine by attending conferences and seminars and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
- Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations and procedures.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs Degree in Pharmacy.
- Registered as a Pharmacist with DHA.
- Minimum 2-3 yearsâ experience in a similar field desired.
- Awareness and understanding of KCH policies and initiatives.
- Resuscitation Certificate as per the specialty.
- Demonstrable ongoing and active CPD.
- Good computer knowledge.
- Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing environments.
- Leadership and communication skills for team collaboration and professional development.
- Problem-solving skills with first-line response capability.
- Ability to maintain professional and personal credibility.
