The Business Development Representative – Fintech & Payments at Checkout.com is responsible for identifying and generating new qualified business opportunities across the MENA region, targeting eCommerce and Fintech companies. The role involves pitching next-generation payment solutions and value-added services, preparing high-quality presentations and proposals for C-suite stakeholders, implementing effective negotiation strategies, and becoming an expert on Checkout.com's technology stack to solve merchant pain points. Responsibilities include orchestrating the entire lead generation process, nurturing key accounts, partnering with sales team members to share best practices and industry insights, attending local in-person events, and providing feedback on local trends including competitor insights, customer needs, sales, product, and marketing information. The role operates within a hybrid work environment, emphasizing accountability, high performance, and growth in the Fintech and payments domain.

- Identify and generate new business opportunities from promising prospects and partners in MENA
- Pitch next-generation payment solutions and value-added services to eCommerce and Fintech companies
- Prepare high-quality presentations and proposals for C-suite stakeholders and implement negotiation strategies
- Become an expert on Checkout.com's technology stack and communicate product capabilities to new merchants
- Orchestrate the entire lead generation process and act as main point of contact for prospects and internal stakeholders
- Maintain a well-organized portfolio and nurture key accounts with deep understanding of industry, pain points, and needs
- Partner with sales team members to share best practices, business insights, and industry trends
- Attend local in-person events to promote Checkout.com solutions
- Provide feedback on local trends including competitor insights, customer needs, sales, product, and marketing information
Experience & skills
- Minimum 2 years B2B fintech sales experience
- Proven track record of high performance in sales
- Tech-savvy with a strong understanding of Fintech and digital payments
- Ability to negotiate complex commercial structures effectively
- Exceptional organizational and portfolio management skills
- Proficiency in English, Arabic a plus
- Ability to prioritize shifting workloads and responsibilities
- Collaborative and coachable with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage C-suite and key decision-makers
- Strong commercial acumen and business development experience
